A dog can die in less then 15 minutes once left in a hot car…
Hot cars are incredibly dangerous for pets. Dogs only sweat through their paws, and mainly cool down by panting. This means that dogs can get overheated very fast. This is not helped by the fact that the temperatures in your car can rise almost 30 degrees fahrenheit in 20 minutes. On average, your car will already be 20 degrees fahrenheit hotter than the outside temperature. For these reasons you must not leave your pet in a hot car, lest the animal overheat and/or die.
